Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) confirms that staff are present at the correct location when a scheduled service begins. EVV check-ins are completed from the scheduled event on the calendar.
Where to Go
Navigate to the Calendar
Locate the scheduled appointment/event
Open the event within 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time
How to Complete an EVV Check-In
Click on the scheduled appointment
Select Check-In
The system will verify your location using GPS
Once verified, the EVV check-in will be recorded for the visit
When GPS Accuracy Is Low
If GPS accuracy is not within 200 meters, the system will prompt you with an additional verification option.
A QR code will appear
Open the QR code using your mobile device
Scan the code to confirm your location
This process improves location accuracy and allows the check-in to be completed successfully.
Why Can’t I Check In Yet?
If the Check-In option is not visible, it is usually due to one of the following:
The appointment is more than 15 minutes away
The appointment has not started yet
The event has already been checked in
The appointment was not created correctly on the calendar
Staff can only check in within 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.
Why Am I Getting the QR Code?
The QR code appears when the system cannot confirm your location with enough GPS accuracy.
Common reasons include:
Weak GPS signal
Being indoors or in a building with limited signal
Location services disabled on the device
The device not allowing the browser or app to access location services
Scanning the QR code with your mobile device helps confirm your location so the EVV check-in can be completed.
Important Notes
EVV check-in can be completed up to 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment
GPS verification helps confirm staff presence at the service location
The QR code option is provided when GPS accuracy needs improvement
Why Did My EVV Check-In Fail?
If your EVV check-in does not complete successfully, one of the following issues may be preventing verification:
Location Services Are Disabled
Your device must allow location access.
Check that:
Location Services are turned on
Your browser or app has permission to access location
You Are Outside the Allowed Location Range
EVV verifies that staff are within the expected service location.
If you are too far from the service location, the check-in may fail.
Try moving closer to the service location and attempt the check-in again.
Weak GPS Signal
Location accuracy may be reduced if:
You are inside a building
You are in an area with poor signal
Your device cannot establish a clear GPS location
If this occurs, the system may prompt you to use the QR code verification option.
Browser or Device Permissions Are Blocking Location
Some devices or browsers block location access by default.
Make sure:
Your browser allows location permissions
Your device settings allow location access for the browser or application
After enabling location access, refresh the page and attempt the check-in again.
Still Having Trouble?
If EVV still does not complete after checking these items:
Refresh the page and try again
Verify that your device’s location services are active
Contact your clinic administrator or support team for assistance
