For clinics using the IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) note, a few setup steps are required before staff can begin submitting documentation.
Step 1: Link CAP Services to Client Goals

Go to the Client’s Profile

Navigate to the client’s profile and select the Treatment Plan tab.

Edit Existing Goals

If the client already has an active treatment plan with goals, select Edit on the goal.

Add one or more CAP services to the goal.

Click Submit to save your changes.

📌 A CAP service must be linked to a goal in order to submit an IDD note.
Step 2: Submit an IDD/CAP Note

Start a New Document
-
Click the orange + sign in the upper right of your screen.

Select the IDD template from the template list.

(If you don’t see the IDD template, reach out to your clinic’s Notenetic Super Admin.)

Fill Out the Document

Select Client
-
Enter Date of Service, Start Time, and End Time

Select the CAP Service (only services linked to the client’s goals will be shown)

Complete Goal Details
-
For each goal linked to the selected service, input:

Intervention (e.g., gesture, verbal prompt, etc.)
-
Assessment (e.g., no progress, progress made with prompting, etc.)
-
Number of Prompts
-
Comments (if needed)
-
Duration of time
-
Clinician’s Initials
-

✅ IDD documentation is typically submitted daily.
Step 3: Generate Weekly or Monthly IDD Reports

Go to the IDD/CAP Note Report

Navigate to More > Reports > IDD/CAP Note Report

Use Filter Options

Choose from pre-set durations like:

Current Week

Last Week
-
Current Month
-
Last Month
-
Last 60 Days
-
Last 90 Days

Or use the From/To Date Picker to define a custom range.

Run the Report

Click Run Report to generate results.
