Editing a submitted note may be necessary for corrections or updates. Please note that the ability to edit a note is determined by your Notenetic role and access level. Once edited and resubmitted, the system will attach an addendum to maintain compliance and transparency.
Important Access Reminder

Depending on your clinic’s setup, you may not have permission to edit submitted documentation.

If you follow the steps below and do not see the edit option, please reach out to your Super Admin or clinic administrator.
🔍 Navigate to the Documents Section

Go to Documents from the main menu.

Use the search and filters to locate the specific note or document.
📄 Open the Document

Click the Document ID to open the submitted note.

Review the content and status.
🔒 Check Document Lock Status

If the document is locked, it must be unlocked before any edits can be made.

Unlocking permissions depend on your role and access level.
✏️ Edit the Document

Once the document is unlocked, click Edit on the left-hand menu.

Make any necessary changes.

Click Submit when finished.
➕ Addendum Prompt & Resubmission
Upon clicking Submit after editing:

You’ll be prompted to enter a reason for the update.

Select the signature date and enter your signature PIN.

Click Apply.
🔔 Important: Once resubmitted, the system will automatically generate an addendum to the document to indicate the document was updated after submission.
