Certain users have the ability to make pencil edits to documents without needing to open each document individually. This allows for quicker updates to key fields.
Who Can Make Pencil Edits?
- Super Admins
- Billing Managers (any role)
How to Use Pencil Edits

Navigate to the Documents Page
- Go to Documents from the main menu.

Identify Editable Fields
- The following fields can be edited directly from the document list:
- Service
- Place of Service (POS)
- Diagnosis (Dx)
- The following fields can be edited directly from the document list:

Locate the Pencil Icon
- In each of the above-mentioned columns, you will see a pencil icon next to the current listing.
- Click the pencil icon to make edits.

Edit Field Data
- A modal will appear allowing you to update the selected field:
- Service: Displays a list of available services to choose from.
- Place of Service (POS): Lists all available POS options.
- Diagnosis (Dx): Shows the client’s current/active diagnoses to select from.

Save Changes
- Once the correct option is selected, confirm and save the changes.
Note: Pencil edits streamline document updates but should be used carefully to ensure billing and documentation accuracy.
