Sealing a document is not the same as locking it.
A sealed document cannot be modified under any circumstance unless it is unsealed by a Super Admin.
If you do not see the seal/unseal options, please contact your Super Admin to review your permissions.
Role Requirements
Seal Documents: Staff must have the Can Seal Documents permission enabled.
→ Go to Staff Profile > Settings > Documents > Can Seal DocumentsUnseal Documents: Only Super Admins can unseal sealed documents.
How to Seal a Document
Navigate to Documents.
Use the search and filters to locate the document you want to seal.
Click the Document ID to open the document.
On the left panel, select Seal Document.
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
“Sealing a note prohibits all further editing to the document. Continue?”Select Confirm to seal the document.
Once sealed, the document becomes permanently read-only unless unsealed by a Super Admin.
How to Unseal a Document
🔒 Super Admin Only
Navigate to Documents.
Use the search and filters to locate the sealed document.
Open the document by clicking the Document ID.
On the left panel, select Unseal Document.
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
“Unsealing this document will allow modifications. Continue?”Select Confirm to unseal.
Once unsealed, users with appropriate permissions may edit the document.
